A.Equipment installation
1. Before installing the acid cooler, users should examine each inside screw whether to loose, and
carry out the pressure test of the equipment.
2.Please scan and check specification and application of each mouth of pipe of the installation
diagram of the acid cooler to avoid wrong connection.
3. When lifting, we must use two equaling nylon slings to hang on the two sides of a support saddle
to lift. And we should install return board for the side of equipment foundation to make the running
equipment free expansion, and freely levelness should accord with corresponding code
requirement.
4. Acid cooler is installed horizontally, and space between two coolers is not less than 1 meter. A
side of the cathode should retain space equal to that of the length of the equipment to pull to
replace the cathode.
5. The weight of the acid pipeline of the entrance and the exit should be prevented to be directly
imposed on the equipment.
6. The bypass should be settled between the acid entrance and the acid exit of equipment. And
when new factory is carring on the first acid circle,we open the bypass to prevent sundries from
entering the equipment. The bypass also can be used to regulate the acid temperature.
B.Installation of control system
1. Each equipment fits out a control instrument in the control room, and space between two control
instruments is about 100mm. Its voltage is AC220V,and its power is 1KW.
2. In the control room we fix the equipment, open the cabinet door and see the inner patching board.
According to the corresponding connection mark of the equipment and control system, we use
corresponding conducting wires to connect the anode, the cathode. the control reference,
monitor reference and the anodic signal and fasten.

3.Please connect main power cord. And its voltage is AC220V and its power is 1KW.

C.Operation
1. Cool acid to passive: Regardless of drying acid or absorbing acid cooler, we firstly fill it with
98~99% concentrated sulfuric acid in the normal temperature to carry on self passive treatment,
and meantime circle the cooling water and put the discharge of stream largest. Especially, please
attend to make the content of chloride in the cooling water(raw water) less 50PPm,(cycle
water)less 100PPm ,and its PH value 6.5-7.5.
2. After ascertaining that acid is filled in the acid cooler, we scan and examine each part of the acid
cooler, and then we are sure that they are sealed, insulated and no connection problems. Please
scan and examine. When examining it, we should wear labor protection supplies.
3. Open the rectifers , and we put the power switch "prepare" record. When we choose "protect"
record,we measure the potential value of anode corresponding control reference and monitor
reference and obtain natural corrosion potential, and ascertain control index.
4. When measuring, we choose "give" record, and regulate the "control regulation" knob to settle the
"give" potential to make "give" potential value more than "natural corrosion potential"(such as
when "natural corrosion potential is +10,"give" potential may settle -10),when the power output
of the equipment starts to be passive. Then we continue settling "give" potential until "give"
potential settle -100 or +100(as can be seen from table 1 control reference potential). After
current is stable, we can notice to heat up. In the gradually heating up course, we should closely
attend the changes of the current, and ascertain that anode potential always is in protection area.
5. In the operating course, we must guarantee enough large cooling water and relatively steady of
acid concentration.
